Dr. Katrina Mears joins Williamson Allemond Regional Eye Center — 4 highlights

Katrina A. Mears, MD, has joined the Williamson Allemond Regional Eye Center in Zachary, La., according to The Advocate.

Here are four highlights:

1. Dr. Mears is a retina specialist with LSU Health and Sciences Center.

2. Dr. Mears obtained her medical degree from the School of Medicine at the National University of Ireland Galway.

3. She also completed a residency at the Kresque Eye Institute at Wayne State University in Detroit, and a fellowship in department of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

4. Dr. Mears is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists International Society of Ocular Oncology and Royal College of Ophthalmologists United Kingdom.
