West Georgia Health names Dr. Robert Coggins ‘Physician of the Year’

West Georgia Health, based in LaGrange, has given out a “Physician of the Year” award annually since 2007. This year, gastroenterologist Robert Coggins, MD, received the honor, according to a LaGrange Daily News report.

During his time with West Georgia Health, Dr. Coggins has served as medical staff president twice and served on several leadership committees.

Dr. Coggins completed his medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He went on to serve his residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital New Orleans. He completed his fellowship training at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville (Fla.).
