Alliance HealthCare Services, PRC Associates joint venture for interventional pain management: 5 things to know

Alliance HealthCare Services entered into a joint venture partnership with PRC Associates, an interventional pain management services provider in Florida.

Here are five key notes:

1. Alliance acquired 60 percent ownership in the joint venture through its Alliance HealthCare Interventional Partners division. Current physician partners will continue to hold the remaining interest, including founder Vinod Malik, MD.

2. PCR’s annual revenues were around $12 million as of June 2015.

3. Dr. Malik will remain medical director of PRC, leading nine interventional pain management physicians.

4. PRC provides interventional pain management services at eight locations in Florida.

5. Alliance partnered with The Pain Center of Arizona and founder Steven Siwek, MD, earlier this year. Dr. Siwek is currently Alliance HealthCare Interventional Partners president.
