Kareo handles $735M in ICD-10 claims thus far

Kareo, a cloud-based medical office software and services company designed for small physician practices, has released a look at its post-ICD-10 performance.

In October, Kareo processed more than 6.6 million ICD-10 claims, representing a value of more than $735 million. Nearly all of the company’s customers (99 percent) submitted at least one ICD-10 claim, and 87 percent of customers received payment on at least one ICD-10 claim. A total of 1.4 million ICD-10 claims submitted in October have already been paid. Kareo found the average amount of time to receive payment on these claims was 11 days.
