1. Being an inpatient while receiving FMT
2. Immunosuppression
3. Previous record of CDI-related hospitalization
Researchers from Indiana University Health based in Indianapolis presented data from a study of 345 CDI patients at the American College of Gastroenterology annual meeting in Honolulu. FMT failed in 23.7 percent of patients at 3 months follow-up, according to the repot.
The study authors concluded risk of FMT failure can be predicted before actual transplantation
