St. Anthony receives recognition for improvements in patient safety: 3 points

The Washington State Hospital Association honored St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash., for improving patient safety, according to The News Tribune.

Here are three points:

1. St. Anthony received the 2015 Washington State Hospital Association Achieving Best Care Award.  

2. The hospital was honored for its decreased patient infections, fall prevention, early elective deliveries and preventive measures against venous thromboembolism.

3. CHI Franciscan Health, based in Tacoma, Wash., owns St. Anthony.
