Dr. Esrailian’s clinical interests include gastrointestinal endoscopy, inflammatory bowel diseases, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, hemostasis, polypectomy, reflux, ulcer disease and functional gastrointestinal diseases. He also focuses on the development of biomedical innovations, medical education and initiatives towards patient-centered care. In 2012, the UCLA School of Medicine awarded him the Lincy Foundation Chair in Clinical Gastroenterology.
Dr. Esrailian earned his medical degree at Loma Linda (Calif.) University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the UCLA School of Medicine, where he also obtained a Masters degree in public health.
