With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, more Connecticut residents have health insurance than any other period in the state’s history, according to ct post.

Here are four points:

1. Approximately 3.8 percent of state residents do not have health insurance.

2. Before the Affordable Care Act was implemented, 8 percent of Connecticut residents did not have health insurance.

3. Connecticut is providing the ACA through Access Health Ct.

4. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy stated Connecticut was an optimal model of the ACA. He said, “These numbers highlight Connecticut’s success in providing quality, affordable care to those who previously didn’t have it. But we cannot stop here.”
