Dr. Corey has a professional interest in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatitis C & B, primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, liver transplant and hemochromatosis. Her research interests centers on lipid metabolism in patients with steatosis and steatohepatitis as well as the development of non-invasive biomarkers for the diagnosis and monitoring of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. She also participates in numerous clinical trials including studies for hepatitis B and C treatment. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed publications such as Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition and Digestive Diseases and Sciences.
Dr. Corey earned her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C. She completed her residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
