Telemedicine upgrade for CVS in-store clinics: 5 points

CVS Health will partner with telehealth companies to bolster its telemedicine presence, according to Medscape.

Here are five points:

1. CVS will collaborate with American Well, Doctor on Demand and Teladoc telehealth companies.

2. By next year, CVS wants its MinuteClinic providers to “consult with telehealth physicians.”

3. According to MinuteClinic data, 95 percent of patients were satisfied with the telehealth incorporated into their visits.

4. The company is expanding its telehealth offerings to meet the needs of patients in various circumstances and locations.  

5. CVS encompasses 7,800 retail drugstores and 1,000 walk-in medical clinics.
