Dr. Behar is a member of several associations including the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, Volunteer Liga Contra El Cancer and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Florida. Dr. Behar went on to complete his residency at the Jackson Memorial Hospital Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed at fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
