Destiny Surgery Center gets accreditation: 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted the surgery center accreditation after a survey. Here are five things to know about Destiny Surgery Center:

1. The surgery center opened in February and includes an experienced nursing staff, many of whom have more than 20 years of experience.

2. Specialties at the center include abdominal surgery and bariatric surgery.

3. The facility has four operating rooms, two large procedure rooms, four anesthesia care units for postoperative recovery and six semi-private preoperative rooms. The facility also has 11 private inpatient rooms with restrooms attached.

4. The center has WiFi, tablets for patients waiting for surgery, Cable TV in waiting areas and a free beverage and snack bar. Lab services are available and the center has a sterile processing department.

5. There are three physicians at the center.
