5 notes URMC acquiring two urgent care centers

The University of Rochester Medical Center in New York is planning to purchase two privately operated suburban urgent care centers, according to Rochester Business Journal.

Here are five notes:

1. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

2. URMC is presently an operator of urgent care centers in Spencerport and Ontario County.

3. URMC has revealed no plans as to whether they are considering acquiring other privately run centers or building new centers.

4. The center’s current medical staff will join URMC’s employed physicians, nurses and physician assistants.

5. The urgent care center will have access to URMC’s electronic medical record system.
