Here are four key notes:

1. The health system specializes in the design and development of treatment solutions and infrastructure functions for use in complex hospital environments such as operating rooms, hybrid operating rooms, catheterization labs and intensive care units.

2. The system also works in transporting patients either within a hospital or to another facility.

3. Maquet is the largest subsidiary of the Swedish Getinge Group.

4. The NPSF Patient Safety Coalition was created to align stakeholders from across the continuum of care in a unifying mission of advancing health care safety.

“NPSF Patient Safety Coalition members are vital to helping the Foundation pursue our vision of creating a world where patients and those who care for them are free from harm,” said Tejal K. Gandhi, MD, MPH, CPPS, president and CEO of NPSF. “We are very pleased to welcome Maquet, and we look forward to learning about their experiences and perspectives as we work together to advance safer healthcare.”
