Dayton Children’s $47.5M expansion includes surgery center: 4 key notes

Dayton Children’s Hospital is planning a $47.5 million expansion to its Springboro campus, which will include an outpatient surgery center with four operating rooms, according to Dayton Online News.

1. The expansion is expected to undergo phases of completion spanning the next two years.

2. The surgery center is slated to open last.

3. Currently, the Dayton and Cincinnati areas, health systems have over $500 million building projects underway.

4. A $49 million, 120,000 square-foot outpatient cancer center is undergoing construction at Kettering Medical Center.
