Dr. Sarles focuses on colon cancer screening, pancreatobiliary problems, gastrointestinal bleeding problems, gastroesophageal reflux disease and inflammatory bowel disease. He has won numerous awards over the course of his career, including the Marcel Patterson/Robert Nelson Career Service Award from Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy and the ACG’s William D. Carey Board of Governors Award, both in 2005.
Dr. Sarles earned his medical degree at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the VA Hospital in Phoenix.
