AHIMA receives award for ICD-10 advocacy program

The American Society of Association Executives has granted the American Health Information Management Association its Silver Award for the organization’s ICD-10 advocacy efforts, according to a HIT Consultant report.

The ASAE recognized AHIMA during its 2015 Power of A Awards.

Through AHIMA’s efforts, more than 80,000 tweets with the hash tag #ICD10Matters were sent to Congress members’ official Twitter handles, and more than 26,000 letters were sent to Congress by AHIMA members, according to the report.
