Here are four statistics on how satisfied gastroenterologists are with their careers, according to the Medscape Gastroenterologist Compensation Report 2015.

1. Just more than half of gastroenterologists, 52 percent, expressed overall career satisfaction.

2. Less than half of GI physicians, 46 percent, are satisfied with their income.

3. If given another chance, 55 percent of gastroenterologists would still choose a career in medicine.

4. If given another chance, 55 percent of GI physicians would still choose to specialize in gastroenterology.
