The March 13 opening marks the end of the first phase of a multi-phase surgery center expansion that will add two new operating rooms, 10 additional pre- and post-op patient rooms, a new PACA and a new waiting area to the center. The project is expected to be completed by October, according to the report.
The surgery center expansion is part of a $17 million project to update the York facility. In addition to the surgery center upgrades, the hospital has also completed the construction of a helipad as part of the project.
