$180M addition to Akron Children’s Hospital includes outpatient center

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital will open a $180 million, seven-story pavilion on May 5, including a neonatal intensive care unit, expanded emergency department, a new outpatient surgery center and more, reports Akron Beacon Journal.

“We’re Akron natives and we’ve come to support the hospital and see how it’s grown over the years,” Celeste Williams of Akron told Akron Beacon Journal. “It’s come a long way. It looks real nice.”
