Tenet Healthcare, Doctors Hospital consider $6.7M surgery center project in California

Tenet Healthcare and Doctors Hospital are considering a $6.7 million surgery center project in Manteca, Calif., according to a Manteca Bulletin report.

Last year, Tenet invested $2.7 million in Doctors Hospital. The number of outpatient procedures performed at Doctors Hospital increased 32 percent last year. If built, the new surgery center would serve to free space in the hospital’s operating rooms for inpatient procedures.

The new, 6,000-square-foot surgery center would house three ORs and two procedure rooms, according to the report.
