Wilford Hall ASC acquires notification system for emergency preparedness

The Lackland, Texas-based Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, the Defense Department’s largest ASC, has acquired the Desktop Alert Mass Notification System for emergency preparedness.

The notification platform uses a hybrid of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. The system extends to reach all personnel, offsite personnel, family and friends. Desktop Alert was given the 2014 GSN Homeland Security Award for “Best Mass Notification System.”
    
“We are very pleased that this iconic USAF location has switched to the Desktop Alert Mass Notification Platform. Desktop Alert is currently experiencing significant adoption and review of our notification platform by USAF Major Commands,” said Howard Ryan CEO Desktop Alert Inc.
