February poised to become a big month for healthcare IPOs: 5 things to know

There are several healthcare initial public offerings slated for February, according to a 24/7 Wall Street report

Here are five things to know:

1. There are 12 IPOs scheduled for the first week of February and nine of them are related to healthcare.

2. The nine healthcare IPOs expected this week include:

• Infraredx
• Eyegate Pharmaceuticals
• AtheaDx
• Carbylan Therapeutics
• Advanced Accelerator Applications
• Asante Solutions
• Inotek Pharmaceuticals
• Nexvet Biopharma
• Check-Cap

3. In January, IPOs were down 18 percent from January 2014. Total proceeds were also down 68% from last year for the full year.

4. In 2014, the IPO total was $85.2 billion, which was the second highest in the past decade.

5. Infraredx is the only healthcare company holdover from January.
