A previous state inspection uncovered several safety violations at the center involving infection control, nursing and laboratory and radiology services. The center allegedly was using an unsupervised nurse anesthetist for anesthesia services, which violates state law. Mislabeled medications and medical equipment in need of inspection were also reported by the inspectors, according to the report.
The center had until Feb. 13 to submit a corrective action plan or risk losing its Medicare license.
The center submitted a plan by the deadline, which was approved by the state. The center will undergo another unannounced inspection to ensure compliance, according to the report.
