Gastroenterologist Dr. Stanley Lorber passes away

Stanley H. Lorber, MD, longtime team physician for the Philadelphia 76ers and gastroenterologist at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, passed away, according to a Philly.com report.

Dr. Lorber served as a faculty member at Temple University School of Medicine for 43 years, and for 25 years he served as chief of the gastroenterology section. Temple created the Stanley H. Lorber Chair in Medicine in 1992. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and served as an Army flight surgeon during the second world war, according to the report.
