CMS: 87% of ICD-10 test claims accepted

CMS has announced the results from the ICD-10 testing week the week of Nov. 17. The agency reported an initial acceptance rate of 76 percent, which improved to 87 percent by Friday of the testing week, according to an iHealthBeat report.

More than 500 healthcare stakeholders participated in the testing week and submitted approximately 13,700 claims, according to the report.

According to CMS, a number of submitted claims included intentional errors to determine what would be rejected.
