Dr. Mathew served as the college’s medical director of endoscopy from 2005 to 2011. This year, he performed the first per-oral esophageal myotomy for the treatment of achalasia in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jeffries was the first chair of the department of internal medicine and chief of gastroenterology from 1969 to 1982.
