His golden work anniversary is another accomplishment in a long career that has included various roles such as medical department chairman, navy surgeon and director of anesthesiology in many states across the country. He has been with Valley Regional Surgery Center for the past 10 years, according to the report.
Dr. Schmidt told the Daily Call that he is proud of matching his father’s accomplishment of working 50 years in the medical industry. “There are probably other anesthesiologists that have worked for 50 years, but I am not familiar with them,” he told the paper.
