House Passes ICD-10 Delay, SGR Patch Bill

Yesterday, the House passed HR 4302, a bill that would provide a temporary solution to Medicare’s sustainable growth rate and delay ICD-10 by one year, according to an iHealthBeat report.

The bill will now head to the Senate.

ICD-10 provision of the bill has been met with mixed feelings. The American Health Information Management Association opposed the delay, while the Medical Group Management Association supports the bill for the additional time it would allow practices to prepare for the transition.
