The findings demonstrate:
• 78 percent of patients experienced elimination of heartburn symptoms
• 83 percent of patients stopped experiencing regurgitation
• 74 percent of patients discontinued use of proton pump inhibitor medication
The results of the study were published in the February 2014 issue of the journal Surgical Laparoscopy Endoscopy and Percutaneous Techniques.
