AMA Makes Changes to CPT 2010 Urodynamics Section

The American Medical Association has added three new codes and removed two codes from the urodynamics section of the CPT 2010 Book, according to a release from the American Academy of Professional Coders.

The three added codes are:

  • CPT 51727 — Complex cystometrogram; with urethral pressure profile studies, any technique;
  • CPT 51728 — Complex cystometrogram; with voiding pressure studies, any technique; and
  • CPT 51729 — Complex cystometrogram; with voiding pressure studies and urethral pressure profile studies, any technique.

The two deleted codes are:

  • CPT 51772 — Urethral pressure profile studies, any technique; and
  • CPT 51795 — Voiding pressure studies; bladder voiding pressure, any technique.
