CMS Lowers Interlaminar Epidural Procedure Values; ASA Opposes Decision

The American Society of Anesthesiologists announced its opposition to CMS’ decision to reduce the values for interlaminar epidural procedures.

CMS lowered the values as part of the CY 2014 Medicare Physician Payment Rule.

The ASA has begun an analysis of CMS’ process for determining the new values and will be communicating with CMS regarding its disagreement with the decision.
