Under the contract, the six hospitals in Caritas Christi’s system would be paid a fixed amount based on the estimated annual cost of a patients’ care, and incentives to improve quality and affordability of healthcare are included, according to the report.
Around 1,100 physicians affiliated with Caritas Christi who serve nearly 60,000 BCBS patients in the Boston area are covered under the new contract.
