The surgical facility will include several “FDA research ready” operating rooms where cataract, bladeless LASIK, glaucoma and cosmetic procedures will be performed. The rooms have been designed to comply with the strict standards required for FDA research studies, according to the release.
Construction is expected to be completed by spring of 2010.
The facility will be the first Tampa location for Newsom Eye & Laser, which also has locations in Sebring, Fla., and Avon Park, Fla.
