La Peer Health Systems currently includes 50 physicians in 14 specialties. Dr. Mahtabifard has a special interest in thoracoscopic sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis, rib resection for treating thoracic outlet syndrome and transoral incisionless fundoplication and laparoscopic fundoplication for reflux treatment.
Dr. Mahtabifard is the first thoracic surgeon to join La Peer and will head the Hyperhidrosis Center of Excellence. He will also partner with Mark Davidson, MD, to lead the Reflux Surgery Center of Excellence.
