5 Recent GI-Driven Center Openings & Plans

New York Gastroenterology has opened a second location in Scarsdale, N.Y. Neville Bamji, MD, and Savreet Sarkaria, MD, will practice at the Scarsdale location, while the practice’s other gastroenterologists will practice at the New York City location.

Hallmark Health Medical Associates has opened a new location for its gastroenterology practice in Stoneham, Mass. The location will offer diagnostic procedures and treatment for conditions including IBD, gastroesophageal reflux disease and ulcers.

In September, Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Georgia intends to open a medical office featuring gastroenterology services. The location will also offer urgent care, urology, cardiology and pediatric services.

Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Mich., and Michigan Endoscopy Center in Farmington Hills have received a certificate of need for a joint venture endoscopy center on the hospital’s campus. The center is expected to open in December.

Concord Township, Ohio-based Lake Health has opened its Bariatric Surgery Center. Aviv Ben-Meir, MD, will lead the surgical team.
