Physicians Still Unfamiliar With Healthcare Reform: Survey

According to a survey by LocumTenens.com, most physicians say they aren’t familiar with significant aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The survey — which involved 479 independent physicians — found that about 56 percent of respondents were “not at all familiar” with how policies purchased from the state exchanges would affect their business. Additionally, approximately 66 percent were unfamiliar with contracted rates with payers in the exchange, and 67 percent of physicians said they weren’t at all familiar with platinum, gold, silver and bronze plan benefits.
