Providers seem to be mostly focused on the difficulty of the upcoming transition. Here are some of the survey’s findings.
• 26 percent of respondents have no goals for ICD-10 other than claims processing
• 59 percent expect a decline in revenue while 20 percent are unsure of financial impact
• 16 percent expect higher revenue after implementation
• 51 percent think a potential benefit of ICD-10 will be quality improvement
• 40 percent think a potential benefit of ICD-10 will be outcome measurement
• 39 percent think a potential benefit of ICD-10 will be performance measurement
