Texas Medical Center Begins Construction on Outpatient Surgery Center

The Medical Center of Southwest Texas is starting construction on an outpatient surgery center in Port Arthur, Texas, according to a release from Urban Constructors, the construction company working on the project.

The 6,661 square-foot addition to the medical center will allow patients easier access to the outpatient surgery with dedicated registration and waiting areas, according to the report. Other features include a stand-alone sterile processing area, more spacious locker rooms for surgeons and staff and dedicated pre-and post-operative areas.
