Infographic Explains “Why the World Needs Nurses”

RN to BSN Online recently created an infographic titled “Why the World Needs Nurses” detailing the responsibilities of nurses in infection control, management and forensic nursing.

According to the infographic, a 10 percent increase in nurses equals a 4 percent decrease in patient death, and providers adding one additional registered nurse on average see 9 percent fewer deaths in the ICU, 16 percent fewer deaths in surgical patients and 6 percent fewer deaths in medical patients.
