Compounding manufacturers are defined as companies that repackage preservative-free sterile products or make sterile products without a prescription to sell them across state lines.
If passed, the bill would submit these manufacturers to federal rules, rather than the state regulations of traditional pharmacies. ASA is monitoring the safety concerns associated with this bill, including the production of drugs in short supply.
