HFAP Discusses Life Safety Code Deficiencies

Recently, the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau of Hospitals co-sponsored a webcast on key deficiencies with the National Fire Protection Association’s Life Safety Code.

The Life Safety Code is a standard for general fire prevention or building construction features that serve as fire prevention codes. The organization discussed topics, such as:
•   CMS and its selection of Life Safety Code editions
•   Corridor clutter
•   Fire alarm records
