More Community-Associated MRSA in Smaller vs. Larger Hospitals

Community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was more common in smaller hospitals that had more Medicaid patients and healthier patients, according to a study in Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology.

Researchers analyzed clinical MRSA isolates from inpatients in 30 hospitals in Orange County, Calif., from October 2008 through April 2010.
