The self-evaluation was created in response to a Modern Healthcare survey that found levels of ICD-10 readiness to be very low.
The evaluation tool asks healthcare facilities if coders have received the proper ICD-10 training, understood ICD-10 guidelines and are sufficiently prepared to lead its implementation.
