Abington Memorial Hospital Appoints Dr. Kenric Murayama Chief Surgeon, Chair of Surgery

Abington (Pa.) Memorial Hospital has appointed gastrointestinal surgeon Kenric Murayama, MD, as its surgery department chair and surgeon-in-chief.

Dr. Murayama holds a fellowship in pancreatic physiology from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He will continue to practice as a gastrointestinal surgeon with a focus on bariatric, hernia, esophagus and stomach surgery.

Dr. Murayama will effectively assume the positions on June 1.
