Exact Sciences’ Colorectal Cancer Test Displays 92% Detection Rate

Cologuard, Exact Sciences‘ colorectal cancer screening test, has shown a 92 percent detection rate of colorectal cancer and a 42 percent detection rate of pre-cancerous polyps.

Cologuard is designed to detect DNA taken from a stool sample that indicates the presence of colorectal cancer or pre-cancerous polyps.

The results, determined during a DeeP-C clinical study, will be submitted to the FDA as part of the test’s pre-market approval process.
