URAC Calls for Public Response to Accountable Care Accreditation Standards

URAC, an independent, non-profit accreditation organization, has called for a public response to its Accountable Care Accreditation Standards and Measures.

The URAC program is designed to help healthcare providers meet the standards of high value, low cost service.

The two main tenets of the URAC program are accountable care accreditation and building a clinically integrated network.

URAC has also proposed the inclusion of alignment with Medicare’s Shared Savings Program.

The deadline for public comment is May 17, 2013.
