The patient outcomes statistics include:
• 77 percent reported little or no discomfort during bowel preparation
• 81 percent had to wait less than a month between scheduling and having the procedure done
• 97 percent felt they were able to schedule their procedure at a convenient time
• 98 percent reported being comfortable after discharge
• 99 percent reported little or no discomfort during the procedure
• 99 percent said they would recommend the procedures to others
• 100 percent indicated that they received written discharge instructions
• 100 percent reported an acceptable understanding of the procedure
The key clinical findings were gathered between July and December 2012 from 100 organizations performing a combined annual total of 353,300 colonoscopies.
