President Barak Obama’s budget proposal will be released on Wednesday and will not include any Medicaid cuts. The president’s administration has been attempting to persuade governors to expand Medicaid.
73% of surgical specialists expect an increase in hospital integration.
In response to Deloitte’s 2013 “Survey of U.S. Physicians: Physician perspectives about healthcare reform and the future of the medical profession report,” 73 percent of surgical specialists said it is “likely” or “very likely” that hospital and physician integration will increase during the next one to three years.

Springfield, Pa.-based Crozer-Keystone Health System has acquired Surgery Center of Pennsylvania. The multispecialty surgery center will now be named Crozer-Keystone Surgery Center at Haverford.
