American Cancer Society Awards Dr. Stephen Meltzer Research Grant

The American Cancer Society has awarded Stephen J. Meltzer, MD, an American Cancer Society Clinical Research Professorship for his research on Barrett’s Esophagus, according to a News Medical report.

Dr. Meltzer is studying molecular biomarkers that are able to identify Barrett’s Esophagus and indicate when a patient is likely to develop esophageal cancer.
